WHAT IS BEING TRACKED: Low pressure to move into the region tomorrow and Friday. Rain first, then snow.
06 July 2012
Today is going to be another hot day across the entire region as that ridge of high pressure makes it presense known. This ridge will usher in warm air from the south, humid air too, and that is going to make for an unbelievably hot day in the region once again. Though this may seem, and with that heat index near to or at 110F this afternoon in the western half of the region, a lot of you are going to be asking: when is the cool down? There is good news! We have a cold front on its way from the Plains, slowly heading our way, but coming to us nonetheless. This cold front will actually start to cool us off by Sunday afternoon in the region, and then on Monday I am expecting that some places like Fort Wayne and Toledo will see highs only in the...ready for it...it's a good number...sad that we consider it "cooler" but it is...much needed relief...but the hottest it could get on Monday will be the mid 80's. Of course, you'll have to wait for my extended forecasts to come out to know for sure, and I'll have those up in a little bit, so make sure that you check back for updates on that. I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, that's the weather!
