WHAT IS BEING TRACKED: Low pressure to move into the region tomorrow and Friday. Rain first, then snow.
19 July 2012
The flash flood warning for parts of NW Ohio and NE Indiana has been cancelled, yet rain showers are still continuing to move through the region. The rain showers are weakening a little bit as they move E, but nonetheless, the precip is not done for the region today. Looking at a wave of low pressure to move along the stationary front today and that will help develop some more rain showers and thunderstorms in the region. The surface low pressure in NW Ohio is sitting on the stationary front, but that will start to move once that upper level wave of low pressure moves into the area. But for now, rain showers are continuing to fall across the western half of the region, and they are doing well (knock-on-wood) for the most part. The rain showers are generally light to moderate and there are some embedded storms within as well. Things moving E at about 20 to 25-mph, so not a very fast moving weather system. Some outflow from this blob of rain showers has allowed for some storms to pop up ahead of it all over near the Cleveland area and that is going to be something that I'll keep and on. No warnings in the region right now. I'll keep you updated, but for, now that's the weather! http://weather.rap.ucar.edu/radar/displayRad.php?icao=KIWX&prod=n0r&bkgr=black&endDate=20120719&endTime=-1&duration=0
