WHAT IS BEING TRACKED: Low pressure to move into the region tomorrow and Friday. Rain first, then snow.
19 July 2012
A rainy morning in the western half of the region as that stationary front is still over the region, extending from Fort Wayne up to Erie. This front however is actually starting move a little bit as an area of low pressure has developed near NW Ohio. This surface low pressure is helping to provide some of that convection that is producing these rain showers. A wave of low pressure moving down southern Michigan is also helping to produce the rain showers. The rain showers are light to moderate with a few clusters of storms thrown into the mix. Right now we're watching as the rain falls in the Fort Wayne area and entering the NW Ohio, only a few minutes away from the Toledo area and the rest of the NW Ohio area. The rain showers aren't moving fast, only about 20 to 25-mph to the E. Taking a look back at the radar, well, the rain showers are extending all way back into northern Indiana and southern Michigan, so it looks like we're going to be seeing the rain showers for a good portion of the morning throughout the western half of the region. I'll keep you updated, but for now, that's the weather!
