System on its way

No major changes to the forecast right now as things are generally going to plan. Looking for snow showers to move into the region from the west to the east and these snow showers will be light and fairly scattered. Looking for accumulations to remain under an inch throughout the region as temperatures aren't going to be all that supportive for accumulations.

This will be a quick moving system that will pull through the region - it's a weakening upper level trough - so we're going to be seeing snow showers not last much longer than about 12-hours in the west, and maybe a little bit longering in the western half of the region. Also, I just realized that was all one sentence.

High pressure will briefly control the regional weather on Wednesday, and then we're going to watch a somewhat stronger low pressure system move towards the region. This system will mainly bring rain for the region on Thursday. But I'll type more about that later.

I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather!

  1. So what would you say are the chances of a snow delay "coming about" tomorrow?

I'm trying to analyze what you've said to form my own 'guesstimate', but i'd rather hear your thoughts.

  2. Yes, I would imagine that some schools would delay.
