Michigan.
Now despite the large influx of cooler air into the region, central Michigan is actually warmer than the majority of the region. Why? Because of the lake. Once water freezes it becomes ice, it has to be 32° for that to happen...however water takes a while to freeze. The lake still isn't frozen over yet. So as that cool air races over the lake, it is going to warm up very slightly and then move over land. That is why places like Grand Rapids, Michigan are sitting at 27°, while cities like South Bend, Indiana are at 18°. Lake Michigan is a much broader mass of water than Lake Erie...so Erie won't really see that type of temp difference. Again, this happens quite a bit in the region, but I figured to show it for once. However, temperatures in the region are a little bit cooler than I had expected, so I did adjust highs in the Fort Wayne and Toledo accordingly. Alrighty, so nothing much really going on in the region right now. We do have yet another system that is going to impact the region by Tuesday in the region, and this one is going to be another interesting one.
Not all of the charts are up and revised in time to make forecasts, so I have left them alone for right now. In fact, to this day I still do not know why I do Noon Updates because the charts are never done updating at this time. So, I'll be working on the forecasts in a little bit, and I should have some revisions done by about 12.30 p.m. Also, there will not be an afternoon post due to lack of changing weather. However this evening I will have a brief post. I'll update you if anything changes drastically, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them for you as always.
