So why is this weather system important? Well right now, meteorologically speaking we're about a month behind on our winter. Think of this: a kid is bouncing a ball...the higher the ball bounces, the warmer the air, the lower the ball gets the lower the temperature (pretend the ball doesn't always hit the ground) -- obviously this is an analogy and should not be taken for literal context. The kid bounces the ball, each drop represents a low, and every bounce up is a high. The kid gets tired after a long summer of bouncing the ball, yet he/she continues to bounce it...but the heights become less and the bounces become more frequent. However, the kid ate some ice cream, so the kid is still bouncing the ball...however it appears that he/she is starting to lose overall control of the ball as he gets tired and eventually he/she'll allow it do to hit the ground or cease the bouncing. Well, the sugar rush is starting to wear now (the warm weather) and the kid is getting tired (winter) and the ball is starting to cease the bounce. Now, parallel this to the weather that we've been seeing: the weather pattern is starting to weaken -- maybe tomorrow I'll do my Battle of Stalingrad analogy. Update coming up shortly.
WHAT IS BEING TRACKED: Low pressure to move into the region tomorrow and Friday. Rain first, then snow.
