Afternoon Update

System moving towards the region right now, and the clouds are filling in nicely. Warm front did pass through the area not that long ago, so the warmer air is pouring into the region, but the clouds are keeping them from getting too high. Trying to locate the rain showers this afternoon, the nearest ones are in southern Ohio but we're going to get our own rain showers come out of the south and west and enter the region late this afternoon and then filling in the entire region this evening and overnight tonight.

Looking for those rain showers to carry us thruogh the morning tomorrow as the cold front from the parent low pressure centre nears the region. The rain showers will become widely scattered tomorrow afternoon, but at the same time they are going to mix with snow and then become all snow from the west to east throughout the late afternoon and evening tomorrow. Expect high temperatures in the west to occur probably in the early afternoon tomorrow and then those temperatures are going to gradually drop throughout the afternoon.

Now, this cold front isn't going to be strong, but it will be enough to push some cooler temperatures over the lake and a light lake effect event could take place in the Erie area tomorrow night and into Wednesday. But I am not expecting that accumulations will be much at all. In fact, the same goes for the western half of the region as the wrap around moisture from the low wont be very strong. The snow will be light and fairly scattered into the evening tomorrow, but then it'll taper off by late tomorrow night. So not much there.

Otherwise, a high pressure will slip through the south, pushing some cool air briefly into the region for Wednesday and parts of Thursday, but then the high will slide to the east and warm enters the region once again.

So a bit like a spring day in the region today. Unfortunetly.

Now, I did let you all know that once again I am starting a Top 10 list for the winters that have effected the region since records began. I was going to put up a list during this update, but time fell short again. So I am going to wait until this evening to put up the first of several lists.

I'll keep you updated as always, my next update will be this evening. But for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather!
