Alright, a few flood more flood watches went up not that long ago for the western portions of the region. These watches are for the rain showers that will begin in a little bit and continue on throughout the night and through the day tomorrow. This comes as no surprise as the ground is already pretty soggy from the rains we had not that long ago. Expect some normal field type flooding and slight swelling of the rivers in the usual locations.
Low pressure down to the south of the region right now is continuing to get organized and starting to move up to the region. It is actually amusing this afternoon when looking at the latest watch and warning maps for the country…places in Mississippi have winter weather watches and warnings associated with this system. We wont be getting any of those as the most I am expecting for the region will be a brief turn over to snow after midnight Tuesday night/ Wednesday morning and that will give us, at best, a mere dusting of accumulation (unless you’re in the Fort Wayne area where a half inch of snow is possible).
I’ll have a complete update coming up for you around 3.30 p.m., but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that’s the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I’ll have them for you as always.
