Well the weather across the region right now is actually beginning to quiet down from Fort Wayne to Buffalo, however that high wind warning is still in effect for the area over near Buffalo, NY. That cold front is pushing through the region right now and it is going through Erie and should be in Buffalo (if not passing Buffalo) at this time right now. Behind it, those winds are calming down slightly, also due to the northeast direction of the low pressure system.
Now with the low pressure moving out of the area right now, we're going to see some of those clouds breaking apart and we could get some clearing, however in the region we're still not entirely done with those rain showers chances. We're going watch just one little disturbance pull through the western part of the region later this afternoon and during the evening, however the chances of precip associated with it will be rather light and fairly scattered about, so I am not going to expect that everyone who has that chance this afternoon/evening will see them, however if you have some outdoor plans this afternoon/evening, I guess it wouldn't hurt to bring that umbrella or rain jacket.
In fact, already starting to see some breaks in the clouds over in the NW Ohio and NE Indiana area, and those breaks will go around here and there, but we coculd briefly cloud back up towards the evening briefly and then we'll go for a quick clearing in the skies this evening in the region.
Toledo, Fort Wayne and Detroit will see the clearing around the midnight hours (perhaps a bit sooner depending on exactly what time that trough cuts through) and then we'll go with mostly clear skies tomorrow and possibly tomorrow night. For Cleveland, we'll start to see that clearing in the skies a little bit after midnight, and then for Erie and Buffalo we'll see those clearing after midnight and through the early morning hours tomorrow. Temps are going to cool down a bit tonight in the region as well, and we could see lows in the upper 30's.
So actually some calm weather on the way today, with the exception of some scattered rain showers possible in the region this afternoon/evening when that trough goes through...but otherwise, not a whole lot going on to be quite honest with you. Weather calming down a bit and those winds are ceasing as that low pressure moves out of the region.
So because I expect the weather to remain calm for the majority of the afternoon, I will not be having an afternoon update, however there will be the typical evening update around 8.30 p.m. And I'll also be updating those extended forecasts this evening as well, but to be honest with you...simply not much going on at this point.
I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them for you as always.
