Good news

Well, we here at GLWX are about 12-15 hours away from having all our tech problems. So what all does this mean?? Well it is simple, that means that our forecasts will be back to accurate once again (not that Jacob's forecasts aren't accurate, because these tech problems haven't been effecting him as much as it has I). But as our tech problems are being solved, we'll be back to reporting the weather at the usual times with the usual accuracy.

We do want to thank you for your patience with us, and I do want to give a special thank you to my sister - Melanie - who has been more than gracious this past week in letting me borrow her computer...remember, we here at GLWX have a very limited budget. Melanie has also been patient with these tech problems.

But with all that being said, lets go ahead and look at some weather shall we:

We have a low pressure that is going to stall out over the Georgian Bay for next 24 hours and this will in turn give a good chunk of the region from Detroit to Buffalo (and maybe even Fort Wayne) some snow for the next 24 hours. Now this wont really be heavy snow, places like Toledo and Fort Wayne, possibly Detroit will only see about an inch of the snow, however places like Erie and Buffalo could see a total snow accumulation of anywhere from an inch (most likely in Erie) to about 2-4 inches in Buffalo. This will mostly be lake effect snow for Erie and Buffalo.

Moving into the weekend, the system should weaken and clear out the region, which means that by Sunday at the latest, most places will be seeing a brief clear out.

Now there is a system that I am going to be tracking these next couple days, and this system could give the southern region some snow by Wednesday. This wont be a winter storm, however it could give some new snow to places like Fort Wayne, Toledo and maybe even Erie.

A low pressure will form out of the Plain's and move eastward into Tennessee, which means that we'll be to the north of it, so mostly this will be a snow event for us in the southern Great Lakes region. Now of course, there is time for this system to weaken, or change it course, so it is too early to make any solid calls, however I'll be keeping you up to date on this system as always.

Other than that, scattered snow showers for a good chunk of the region today, and for tomorrow, but nothing out of the normal here in the Great Lakes. I'll keep you up to date as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates.
