Still a typical low

Well we'll being seeing this weak low pressure move into the Great Lakes region tonight and it will hang around us for the rest of the work week (or school week, depending on who is reading this).

The low will be in Lake Superior this evening and that means that places like Green Bay could see a little bit of snow from it, but nothing too much.

By tomorrow, the low will begin to track southeast and that could give places like Detroit and possibly Toledo some scattered snow showers and flurries, but for the most part the snow will be limited to the Detroit area.

Tomorrow night is when Toledo could see some snow showers, but nothing will really be accumulating because the snow wont be that heavy. Detroit could still see some snow showers from this system as it heads across the L.P. of Michigan.

Behind this system of course will be some cooler temperatures, so look for lows to be in the single digits on Thursday night over in Green Bay. And the temperatures will be down in the mid teens for the Detroit and Toledo area as well.

By Friday, places like Toledo, Detroit and maybe even Erie will be getting snow from this system...however Erie has been getting snow pretty much all week due to Lake effect so the people of Erie and Buffalo wont know the difference more than likely.

Friday night, much of this system will have cleared out of the region, however we could get even cooler temperatures behind this system if you're in Toledo (Friday night/Saturday morning Toledo could see lows around 10). However, just because low number 1 cleared out, doesn't mean that we're out of the snowy woods just yet.

In fact, behind this low is another low pressure system that will actually present more excitement for the Great Lakes region. It'll be a little more stronger than our first low, however this low will weaken quickly as it passes through Michigan. So some snow showers are likely across much of the Great Lakes region this weekend, or at least for Saturday. Behind that low pressure, there will still be some cooler temperatures as always.

I'll keep you up to date on this as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates, and remember that we're still having some technical difficulties here at GLWX, so we're going to try to keep updates at their normal times as much as we can, but if you do not see an update...that is why. We found out last night that all these problems will be solved before next Wednesday (12 Jan.) so we hope that you bare with us here as we get these problems solved.
