Alright, well not much has changed since I last updated you on all the weather. I was taking a look at some forecast discussions from the NWS, as well as doing my own number crunching and here is where my forecast is at right now.
Tomorrow is going to be a calm day across much of the Great Lakes, it'll be anywhere from mostly clear to mostly cloudy, but there wont be much in terms of precip. Snow will be likely in some areas near Erie, however those will quickly diminish by afternoon if there are any left. The high pressure will be over the Great Lakes region for a good chunk of tomorrow, which will keep temeperatures cooler and down into the 20's for highs.
Tomorrow night, a lot of places are going to see some increasing clouds in the region and places like Green Bay and in the westerm Great Lakes region could actually see some snow fall by about 6 p.m. local time. This is because our dear friend the Clipper System will be moving into the region and that will keep us all entertained for the evening. By around midnight, that snow should be moving into the Fort Wayne and Toledo region, and some light snow accumulation of about an inch is possible.
Friday, the clipper system will move through the upper Great Lakes region which means it'll be giving snow to places from Fort Wayne on over to Erie, PA. Places like Toledo and Fort Wayne could see about an inch or two of snow accumulation, so the possibility of 1-3 inches of TOTAL snow fall accumulation is possible by Friday Night. The snow should be over with in Green Bay by the afternoon.
Friday Night: The clipper system heads up towards Hudson Bay, and in doing so it'll bring some snow to Erie and Buffalo by the evening hours. About 2-4 inches of snow could fall in the Erie and Buffalo region over Friday Night.
Saturday: A lot of places will be clearing out in terms of precip, it'll be mostly cloudy I'd say for much of the Great Lakes region on Saturday, and temperatures will still be a bit cooler with highs only in the mid 20's. However, at the same time, our new low will form down in the Ozarks and the latest numbers that I have looked at are indicating to me that the system will most likely take a more southernly track.
Saturday Night: the low will move eastward into Tennessee and we could start seeing some snow fall in places like Fort Wayne and Toledo before midnight on Saturday night.
Sunday: I am going to say is when the best chances for this snow will be in places from Fort Wayne on up to Erie and Buffalo might even get in on some of the snow action. It is still too early for me to call for any snow accumulations, but as of now, if I had to make a rough guess, I'd say about 2-4 inches possible total for places like Toledo and Fort Wayne. But that is only a guess, like I said it is still too early for me to make a fair call.
I'll be keeping you up to date as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather!
