Well, the snow is falling, however most places haven't seen much in terms of accumulation. The ground is still a little too warm for any real accumulation to occur, at least here in NW Ohio - despite that we are seeing a decent amount of snow on the grass - however some places this morning reported some snow accumulation. Lets take a look at some of the numbers, eh.
Berrien Co., Michigan: a station reported about 2 inches of snow on the ground at 6 a.m. this morning
Trumbull Co, Ohio: a staion reported about an inch of snow on the ground this morning.
Erie Co, Pennsylvania: a station reported about an inch and a half of snow on the ground this morning at around 6:00 a.m.
Chautauqua Co., New York: a station reported 1.0 inches of snow on the ground this morning.
Despite these low numbers, it is still nice for the first day of December. Most places here in the Great Lakes are below average for their snow fall, so this should help but a little. For the rest of the morning today, we could expect to still see snow falling from Fort Wayne on up to Buffalo. Places like Fort Wayne and Toledo, I am going to bump up my earlier prediction numbers and say that about a half inch of snow could fall on the ground, however it is going to have a problem trying to stick to the road ways because the roadways are still too warm. If you're heading to Erie or Buffalo, today you will see snow but not much accumulation because your highs will be in the upper 30's and lower 40's.
I'll be keeping you up to date as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather!
