Well, tonight will be a fairly calm night across much of the Great Lakes region in terms of weather. Nothing to really talk about except for another 3-5 inches of snow tonight that is possible from Erie up to Buffalo, NY.
This morning in Erie County, New York (which is where Buffalo is located) a few places reported a total snow accumulaton of 20 inches. One location reported 22.5 inches of snow, however places at the edge of the county reported only a trace of snow on the more northern parts of Erie County. So that is lake effect snow for you, some places will get hit hard, others not so much. So another 3-5 inches could fall on top of that, otherwise, not a whole lot going on.
It is the low pressure moving out of northern Plains starting tomorrow. This low will not be very strong, however it'll be just enough to give about 8 inches of snow to Minnesota (however, that does not apply us). The low will then move SE towards northern Indiana where I am guess about an inch of snow could fall on Saturday in places like Fort Wayne.
This low will be weakening however as it passes through the southwestern Great Lakes region, so there will not be much in terms of accumulation. The only places that will be effected by this low will be: South Bend, Fort Wayne, Lima and Toledo.
So not a strong low pressure system, it'll be weakening as it heads towards the Indiana area, however it'll be enough to give the above mentioned cities some snow fall come Saturday, but only about an inch at the most.
I'll have more coming up in the morning, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather!
