Detroit
Detroit, you should currently be experiences rain showers throughout the region. However, as the day progresses, those should begin to die down, and temperatures will drop quite low in the evening. Highs should be in the mid 50s, and Tuesday night you should actually drop slightly below freezing, with mostly cloud skies as the rain showers move out. There is a slight chance of some lingering rain or snow showers, but at this time that appears unlikely. What appears more likely is the chance of snow Wednesday or Wednesday night. Wednesday temperatures will top out in the mid 30s, meaning that it will be cold enough for snow throughout the day. There will be moisture in the region, and some lake effect snow could set up in the region, so there will be scattered snow showers throughout the day, continuing into the overnight hours. Wednesday night will get down into the 20s, and Thursday will not warm up far past the 30s with flurries scattered about. After this, the forecast looks fairly tranquil until the weekend, when the next chance of snow seems to be forming, so make sure to check back in for updates about that.
Buffalo
Buffalo, you have some very interesting weather coming your way. Rain should start up today mainly in the morning, and should taper off in the afternoon, and temperatures could actually reach the 50s today! Tonight the rain will likely start up again in the late evening, but the timing is a huge problem. Expect the rain to really get going between 7 PM and 11 PM, and it should continue overnight, while temperatures refuse to drop below the 40 degree mark. Wednesday gets interesting, as precipitation will start out as all rain, but then later in the day as temperatures drop it will likely mix in and eventually change over to all snow. The largest problem is timing when the change over will happen, but as of now it appears that it will in the early afternoon. Temperatures at the surface will be the slowest to cool, but once they do, the snow will really start to fall for a brief period before the cold front moves through. Temperatures will likely not get out of the low 40s, and really drop later in the day as the cold front moves through. Wednesday night into Thursday will have scattered snow showers and snow bands from Lake Effect snow, with Wednesday night getting down to around 30 and Thursday getting up to the upper 30s. The snow will be scattered about, and could amount to a couple of inches in scattered areas. It will die down Friday into Saturday, but temperatures will not moderate much. Make sure to stay tuned as more information becomes available about the turnover.
Green Bay
Green Bay, you have some frigid weather moving in. Temperatures will be dropping throughout the day today, with rain in the morning turning over to rain, sleet, freezing rain, and snow behind the cold front. Temperatures will start in the low 40s, but should drop into the 30s and 20s by the end of the day, and eventually the precipitation should briefly turn over to all snow. It does not appear at this time that there will be any significant snow or ice accumulations, but you will have to check back in to make sure that this does not change. Wednesday should be partly cloudy and not get out of the 20s, and Wednesday night should get down into the teens. Temperatures will stay very low throughout the week, and the next real chance of snow will be Friday, so make sure to check back in before then to see the latest. Either way, expect traffic trouble and airport delays as this wintry weather takes over and dominates travel.
