27 September 2012

Things today in the region were suppose to be a bit on the quiet side, at least that is what I talked about yesterday before the stationary front decided that it wanted to play an entirely different game.

The front didn't move as far as I was expecting yesterday and that means that it is still rather close to the region (albeit a little bit to the southeast over central Ohio). A wave of low pressure is going to develop along the stationary rather soon and that is going to move NE through central Ohio and into central Pennsylvania. Of course, with this wave of low pressure will be rain showers.

Now, the bulk of the rain showers will stay well to the south of the region, but a few will make their way into the region. The region isn't going to see a washout today, but keeping that umbrella or rain jacket handy will help. So again, not a clear and calm day, but not a washout either, just a few stray showers here and there and then some rain clusters at most. The stationary front was suppose to go a little bit further yesterday, but it decided that it didn't want to. But that is ok, because it'll finally move a bit more southeastward tonight and tomorrow.

That high pressure will finally set up in the region...but believe, it will not last long as yet another, sort of low pressure system that'll enter the region towards the end of the weekend and that'll bring in another round of widley scattered rain showers that'll be enough to annoy those of you who do not like the rain. However, I'll type more about that later. I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, that's the weather!
