Today's forecast was a bit weird to word, mainly because the low is picking the weirdest times. Now those rain showers in the western half of the region (and even parts of the eastern half) obviously didn't show up when they were suppose to. Part of the reason is because the low pressure did slide a bit closer to the region than what I was expecting. Looks like the rain showers I was expecting ended up over in Pennsylvania...not Ohio. Plus I think I might've overestimated the ability of the low pressure just a tad. Regardless, the rain showers are around and moving through the western half of the region this morning. However, despite the rain showers this morning in the region, there will be another refiring later this morning in the western half of the region, but it won't last very long.

The refiring will just be some widely scattered rain showers and thunderstorms that'll develop due to some unstable air located around the centre of the low. Those will push out of the western half of the region before the mid afternoon arrives - as long as things go to plan. That is why the forecast for today is a bit difficult to word properly.

Anyways, I am watching a cluster of light to moderate rain showers moving through NW Ohio right now. Earlier this morning I did see a few bolts of lightning with it, so that was what I expected. Looks to be about a half inch or so of rain within this cluster, so that is nice. The rain showers are moving somewhat slowly, so it'll take just a few more moments for them to enter the Cleveland city (though it looks like Lorain and Elyria are already starting to see them this morning). Erie won't pick them up for another couple hours, and Buffalo probably not until late this morning.

I'll have another update coming up in a little bit - obviously this is the only excitment around right now in the region - so make sure that you check back for updates. For now, that's the weather!
