WHAT IS BEING TRACKED: Low pressure to move into the region tomorrow and Friday. Rain first, then snow.
22 July 2012
Cold front headed towards the region right now will actually stall out length-wise across the region tomorrow. This will allow for a series of upper level waves of low pressure to ride down along the upper ridge in the Plains and enter the region. These waves will help spark some thunderstorms in the region. On Monday night/Tuesday morning is when I am expecting the best chances of storms in the region as the front will be right over the region. This will also help with hot temperatures in the region once again, with highs tomorrow possibly getting around 100F in the western half of the region (primarily near Fort Wayne and Toledo). The storms tomorow night and into the day Tuesday will help bring in some relief, but not a whole lot. This system will be interesting for the region, however, as the exiting trough will slowly move out of the region, but not in time for the eastern half of the region. As these waves of low pressure try coming into the region, they will be confined to the western half of the region as that trough will prevent them from going past Cleveland. I'll go more in depth with this system for the Noon Update, because it is interesting to type about. So make sure that you check back for that, because it'll be a fun update. For now, that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them.
