Keeping an eye on the radar right now. Watching that wave of low pressure in the mid levels continue to produce rain showers in the Toledo and Detroit areas. In fact, the rain showers are lasting a tad bit longer than I had been expecting, but nonetheless, the rain is always welcomed. This however, is still making things a little bit iffy when it comes to the clouds in the forecast for later in the afternoon. Remember, the more clouds we have in the western half of the region, the less storms we'll see.
Looking at the radar though, Indiana is starting to become the main area of interest and will continue to be the main area of interest for the next hour or so. Watching as some breaks in the clouds over near suburban Chicago are allowing for some storms to start developing out around the Logansport and Lafayette areas of Indiana...but it is way to early to make a solid call on these. They are weak, small and have barely just started showing up on the radar.
I am still not expecting that any storms that do form will become strong of severe, mainly just a rain event in the region.
I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them for you as always.
