Calm Week

Ok first off, I want to apologize for the lack of updates yesterday. Once again, I was having internet problems but they are now fixed so all is back to normal. Luckily, the weather isn't too active. We have a very simple March forecast in store for us this week, as a cold front wil pass through the region, and then a high pressure sets up.

Right now, we're seeing a ridge of high pressure at the surface keeping the weather calm. There are still a few lingering clouds in the Ohio area and to the west of Erie, but those are going to die out soon enough. Flow in the upper levels today will be generally west to east, which basically means boring weather for the most part in the region. A weak ridge will develop in the upper levels with a decent surface ridge, and that will allow for us to remain dry and calm for today and tomorrow. Now there will be some wind as that surface ridge really works a gradient, but otherwise, nothing much going on in the region today.

A cold front will be progged to push through the region late Wednesday night and into the day Thursday. This front won't bring much with it other than some rain showers, clouds and above normal temperatures. I am not really expecting much in the way of storms with this, however I will keep an eye on it. The moisture levels with this front will be somewhat low, and the temperature contrast will not be that high so I am not expecting any snow behind this system as of now. Once the cold front pushes out of the region, we're going to watch another area of high pressure develop...and then we're calm and clear through the weekend...that is until Sunday.

We're going to watch another system get ready to push into the region, but I'll type more about that during the noontime update. So really, not a whole lot going on in the region this week despite a cold front. Remember, for those of you in Ohio, be sure to get out there and vote today...it's Super Tuesday.

I'll keep you updated as always, and I'll have a forecast revision around 7.30 a.m. or so this mornig with a Noon time Update as always. For now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them for you as always.
