Noon Update

Nothing really too exciting going on in the region this afternoon as the forecast still pretty much looks the same from the last time I updated you all. Area of high pressure trying to dominate the regional weather right now, however the weather is going to clouden up a bit tonight and tomorrow as our next system gets ready to head towards the region. It'll come in the form of a weakening upper level pressure system that is going to track over the region and do nothing more than bring us a quick shot of some flurries and mainly just clouds and cooler temperatures.

Another high pressure sets in on Wednesday and Thursday so the weather will be quiet during that time as well. But then we're going to watch a strong cold front come down from the northern Plains and this is going to bring our temperatures down to average - and possibly a degree or two below normal - for the region during the course of Friday and Saturday.

Still some question as to how moisture deprived the front will be, and mainly I am thinking that the only place that could really see a chance for some snow showers will be in the eastern half of the region depending on what exactly the surface to 850-mb temps do during the course of this. I am expecting that there will be a little lake effect from this system, however it won't be that much at all and the winds in the region aren't going to be all that supportive of it, but nonetheless it is still a chance for about an inch or two of snow at best.

Otherwise, there really aren't many areas to change the forecasts for once again. Looking at temperatures running smoothly this morning, might up them a little bit depending on how I feel. Otherwise, no big changes. I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather!
