Not a very active night in the region tonight despite a few clouds, mainly in the eastern half of the region. The clouds will return for the whole region by tomorrow, but it will still be a quiet day across the region.
This is in response to an upper level ridge building in the region along with a surface high pressure that is building up to the south. This is going to push in some warmer air into the region tomorrow and we're going to see highs go above average - into the mid to upper 40's throughout the region. A few places in the western half of the region might get to about 50° briefly tomorrow afternoon, but otherwise we'll just stay in the upper 40's.
This warm weather will not last at all because late tomorrow night a cold front trailing off a low pressure to our north is going to move through the region. This front wont be very strong and with it will only be a temperature contrast of about 10°. A few lake effect snow showers could develop over the weekend in the eastern half of the region in response to the passage, but the snow showers that do form - if they do - will be very light and generally scattered and there will not be basically be no accumulation as temperatuers will still be in the mid 30's.
Weather returns to its calm state, gradually warming, through the beginning of next week, but then we're going to watch another system - the one I typed about earlier and to save space I won't bring it back up right now - and this will give us some precip in the region and then some cooler weather by the time the end of the week rolls around.
I'll have updates and forecasts coming up tomorrow morning starting at 4.30 a.m., but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them for you as always.
