Radars indicating rain fall, yet weather stations reporting snow. Odd. The rain in the Fort Wayne and Toledo areas are already starting to switch over to snow…about a few hours earlier than I was expecting. Now, this started happening about a half hour ago in parts of the forecast region, but the reason why the update is now is because I wanted to make sure it wasn’t just a cold pocket of air that had slipped in. But this looks like to be the actual change over in those parts of the region, so I’ll add a slight snow accumulation. Right now, the majority of Fort Wayne and Toledo areas are going to start seeing that transition rather soon…if not already in some places.
The pattern is simple right now…sleet/rain and then rain/snow before coming all snow. The coverage of the precip is going to remain the same tonight, just beause the rain is switching over sooner doesn’t mean the overall timing of the precip is going to change.
I’ll have those revised forecasts coming up in just a few moments, but for now, that’s the weather!
