Low on the Move

The low pressure developed a few hours ago in the central Plains and now it continues to deepen as it gets ready to move towards the region. Its present intensity is at 1010-mbs and it will deepen a little bit more as it heads to the region.

The centre of the low will pass off to the west of the forecast region – like around Chicago and that area – tomorrow morning and that will introduce its cold front into the region. Ahead of the cold front, warm advection will bring some lift into the region as well as moisture and that means rain showers in a sense.

Rain showers will begin to develop in the western half of the region late tonight, very late tonight…technically very early morning…and they will be likely throughout the day tomorrow. Heaviest of the rain tomorrow will occur in the western half of the region.

I’ll have a full update coming up around 7.30 p.m. this evening, so make sure that you check back for that. I’ll keep you updated as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that’s the weather!
