15 December 2011

It will be a rainy day across the region today as that cold front makes its way towards the region. Now the low pressure centre moving into western Ontario this morning is a tad bit stronger than I had expected, at 998-mbs as of the last update. This means that warm advection is a bit stronger than orginally expected, and this is appartant at the latest temperatures in the region. Sitting at 54° here at the GLWX, temperatures steady with 55° being reported in Toledo, Detroit and Cleveland. 56° in Fort Wayne. 54° in Erie and 52° in Buffalo. The temperatures in the west will drop this afternoon as that cold front moves through the region. Rain showers ahead of the front will linger slightly behind the front as an additional upper trough tries to push through the region.

I’ll have a full update coming up in a little bit. That’s the weather!
