Clearing out.

No major changes to the forecast for today, I did drop the snow chances for Toledo as they have moved out of that area…there is no reason to keep them in the forecast anymore as they have already left. Skies are going to clear across the western half of the region this morning, and then in the eastern half of the region this afternoon. High pressure is moving into the region and that is going to allow for those temps tonight to drop into the lower 20’s in the Fort Wayne and Toledo area, and even Detroit will get down in the lower 20’s possibly.

I didn’t really revise the extended forecasts as much as I wanted to, I am just going to wait for the 09Z charts to come out before I do that. I am thinking that I might also drop the snow fall chances for the Toledo area on Thursday night/Friday morning as this trough that pushes through will be rather weak for our part of the region.

Otherwise, not a whole lot going on this morning despite some lingering rain/snow showers in the eastern half of the region. Those are going to push out late this morning and early this afternoon and the skies are going to clear in that area. The snow that does fall in the eastern half of the region will not accumulate at all as temperatures will remain above freezing. The snow on the ground in the western half of the region will also melt rather quickly today as those highs today will climb to about 40° this afternoon.

I’ll keep you updated as always, I’ll have a brief update coming up around 10.00 a.m. this morning as well as a revision of those extended forecasts. For now, I am Timmy Albertson and that’s the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I’ll have them for you as always.
