Still a chance for storms

Alright, here is how this is going to work over the next couple days...warm front comes through and then a cold front comes through, and a head of that front there could be storms. Some of those storms might be strong...but the majority of those strong storms will stay down to the south of the region, however we could get some decent storms from this system. Here is what'll happen...

Tonight, a low pressure from the Plains is going to continue to organize itself and then head northeast to the region. The low is going to continue to get a bit strong, not insanely strong, but strong enough that it will be one to give us precip. This low is part of a long front that stretches nearly half the country. Now this front is going to start to slide northward tomorrow, and in doing so it'll introduce those rain showers to the area later tonight across much of the southern region.

So, tomorrow as this warm front moves across the region, it is going to bring in those rain showers. And it wont be until tomorrow night that we see those rain showers really pick up and really notice that warm front.

Tomorrow night that low pressure is going to come through the region and it's going to pass through what looks like just to the northwest of Toledo and Fort Wayne. Because of this proximity, we might be seeing some of those thunderstorms get into the rain mix tomorrow night and early tomorrow morning. We're also going to see this storm chance increase because tomorrow night, those low are going to once again rise overnight, so it could be near 50° if not warmer by the time Wednesday morning rolls around.

We'll then have that warmer and more unstable air across Fort Wayne and Toledo, and possibly this air could get as far as Detroit and Cleveland (another location I am going to have to monitor). Then, we're going to see that low pressure continue to move northeast, and is it does so we're going to see that cooler air push up against that warm and unstable air until we get some storms. Now this cold front is going to push across the region quick and by noon time hours on Wednesday it'll be past Fort Wayne, Toledo and Detroit areas.

So, mostly going to be rain showers throughout the region starting late tonight and through the day tomorrow...we will be getting some storms possibily in the region as well. Now, the biggest threat for us will be gusty winds and perhaps some small hail (seeing as how that freezing level will be very low).

So, I am going to update you again this evening, and I'll be getting some graphics up for you to help illustrate this better.

I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them for you.
