Still a chance for rain

Well we're going to see the passage of the cold front a little bit later today from our first system, however the second system is going to be on its way as we're watching yet another low pressure from the southern Plain's move into the area as I type. This is mostly going to be a rain event from what things look like, however we could get some scattered (or at least embedded storms) later this afternoon as that low pressure passes on through.

Basically for much of the region today and more than likely the best chances being this morning for the western part of the region will be be rain showers. This afternoon however as that low pressure gets rather close we could get some scattered thunderstorms into the mix, but in general things looking to be realitevly quiet compared to yesterday...at least from what I was expecting yesterday.

What happened with yesterdays storms? Well, I am still trying to figure that out exactly, it appears however that the clouds stuck around for too long and that hindered the lift for storm development. I did over estimate the intensity of this storm system, and though we did get some scattered storms and rain showers in the area yesterday afternoon, we didn't get as many as I had expected. But oh well, we just learn from our mistakes and continue on and try not to make the same ones again.

I am thinking that the majority of rain showers and possible storms in the region will be over with by tomorrow afternoon,
as that second cold front from our second low pressure system pushes on through the area. Now, there could be some organized storm development later today, however I am seeing a radar full of scattered rain showers and rain clusters from Fort Wayne to Detroit and over to Toledo, and that could very well hinder most of the storm activity for today. It is for that reason I have dropped the chances for strong storms in the area today, mostly because of that rain cooled air and the location of the second low pressure system.

So for today, we got some scattered storms this morning, and we could see a few embedded storms later this morning and afternoon for the region. Looking like Buffalo wont see their chances for rain showers until a little bit later this morning if not around noon. Rain showers will stick around until that second low pressure system passes, and again we could get some organized storm development, but nothing much really like I was expecting yesterday.

Off and on rain showers in the area today, there will be some breaks followed by some scattered rain showers and thunderstorms possible throughout the day. I'll keep you updated as always, and I'll update you if some storm activity does form (which I am not expecting that much will form, but there could be some) and I'll have a noontime update yet again to keep you posted (get it the word pun) on what I expect for the afternoon as well as for the next couple days.

Just be sure to check those extended forecasts and daily forecasts for more information. And also do not forget about the radar located at the daily forecasts.

But for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll hav them for you as always.
