This afternoon, as most of the people across the region are finding out, the rain is of course more or less the big topic right now...mostly because it is the only thing happening in the region. In fact, rain fall amounts around NW Ohio area right now are about 0.75 inches if not more than that in some places. There is going to be a brief break in the rain showers in Toledo and Fort Wayne later this evening, but yet another wave of precip is going to move into the region later tonight.
Again, as some of you might or might not be aware of, there are some flood watches across the forecast area (so check the watches and warnings located down below the extended forecasts) and most of those flood watches apply to low lying areas and the rivers and streams.
There could be some rumbles of thunder as well within these cluster of rain showers, but the rain has generally cooled the air across the region so that is going to make it hard for some of those storms to develop.
So, now for the past couple days I've been typing about the possibility of storms in the region tomorrow. Again, we could get some storms in the region, however a few of them could get strong. Now the biggest concern with the storms will be small hail and that is really about it...than and localized heavy downpours. However, we are going to see this chance for strong storms until this warm front begins to move, and right now it is still stationary down in central Ohio...

so we have to wait a bit for this front to start to move. The chance for some strong storms is actually going to last in the region tomorrow and Wednesday, however most of what we will get will be rain showers with some embedded storms. So nothing that we aren't use to.
Coming up around the early evening, I am going to be typing about the rain showers that will still effect the region tonight (especially for Cleveland and Erie) and then I'll be typing about the possibility for some stronger type storms tomorrow and Wednesday and what we could see from that. So check back for updates this evening because I'll have them for you as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather!
