For the first time in a couple days we're actually going to see a day where I do not have to put precip in the forecast for some places. We saw that trough push through the region earlier today, and skies are beginning to clear out across the region, a little later than expected in some places, but for the most part most of us will be clear by this evening.
Erie and Buffalo, you're still seeing that cloud cover at this time, however the end to the clouds is just to the east of Cleveland, so Erie you'll be seeing the clearing soon as will Buffalo.
As far as temps are concerned tonight, they will be somewhat uniform in the area with lows dipping down into the 30's for most places.
Now, this calm weather isn't going to last forever because we're going to be seeing yet another low pressure that is going to move to the north of the region, however I'll be typing about that for the evening post. You must understand, not a whole lot to type right now, so I have to save something for the evening post. But in general tonight and tomorrow are going to be clear for the most part with rain showers and thunderstorms which will move into the region on Saturday night.
Not too much has changed with my expectations on this low pressure system, and it looks like chances of rain showers and thunderstorms will be possible in the Toledo, Fort Wayne and Detroit area after midnight on Saturday night and those chances are going to last as that low pressure moves to the north of the region. It will be the cold front that I will be watching out for, as it appears to latest models that it will be slowing down as it moves through Ohio. At this point, I am still trying to work out the kinks in determining if it'll become stationary for a bit if it'll just be slow moving through.
That is what I am going to be working on for the evening update, in determining if that front is going to slow or stall out. If it stalls out, then we're going to see a chance of rain throughout the region (minus Green Bay) on Monday and quite possibly very early Tuesday. So its a toss up at this point, and I am going to have to wait for the new charts and model runs to come out before I make any adjustments to the forecasts.
I'll have more coming up this evening around 8.00 p.m., where we'll type about the rain showers and thunderstorms that will move into the region. I'll be working on those extended forecasts before the post this evening, so do check back for those. I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them for you as always.
