Across the region today we're going to see a brief break in the rainy weather. This time yesterday I was keeping you updated on the storms that were rolling through, and right now I am keeping you updated on the stars rotation in the morning sky. It is a little breezy in parts of the area, got winds gusting around 25 mph in the Toledo and Fort Wayne areas and I expect those winds to stick with us for a good part of the day today. There will be periods of clearing in the sky in Toledo, Detroit and Fort Wayne, however towards this evening we're going to go back to cloudy skies.
What is happening is we're going to see a very weak trough of low pressure cross into the northern Ohio area overnight tonight. It will be light, however we could pick up a few scattered rain showers from it, but nothing like a complete wash out. This trough will quickly exit the area, but not before giving scatterered rain showers to a good part of the eastern area. So be sure to check my extended forecasts on the side of this page so you can see what times you'll be seeing them.
Tomorrow we're going to watch as a weak low pressure comes from the upper region, this will be tomorrow night and Thursday morning, and we could get another chance for some rain showers from it across much of the region. Its spring time...so rain is a common event.
At the same time, we're going to see another low pressure come out of the Plain's and that will effect our area on Friday. This low wont really cross through our region, it'll head more northward, however we could still get some warmer weather and some rain showers and possibly a storm or two from it. I'll keep you updated on that, however I do not expect that it will be anything too extreme.
What will be noticable with this low pressure however is its warmer air. On Friday and Saturday we might come very close, or possibly even hit, 70° in Toledo and Fort Wayne, so that will be a nice touch (for you warm weather lovers, which I am not) for you all on those two days. That wont come free however because that will most likely be from a warm front which will usher in those rain showers during that time.
So a rainy next couple of days. I'll have more coming up this afternoon for you guys, so do keep checking back for updates. This time for sure I will be updating those extended forecasts because I feel they are not timed as well as they could be, but they're still pretty accurate.
I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Enjoy the calm weather for today, because it wont last. I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather!
