Tonight across the region those clouds are going to slowly decrease with time later this evening. Of course the first to see the clearing will be Fort Wayne and the last to see the clearing will be Buffalo. The precip has moved out of the area as the cold front has already passed through. I am looking at temps that have dropped into the 40's as expected. But now, we're going to watch as yet another low pressure system from the Plain's makes its way to the region.
The low pressure system is going to come out of the Oklahoma area and it'll head northeast rather quickly on the day Friday and into Saturday. The low pressure system will produce some rain showers and possibly some thunderstorms within the next mix. We'll get another warm front just like the last one that will move through the region, so could end up seeing a repeat of what we just saw last night, only this repeat might be on a lesser scale.
To me at this point, I am thinking that the bulk of the big storms are going to happen south of the forecast area, however at this point we might get one isolated strong storm here and there in the region. This system is going to be mostly be dominated by rain showers and regular thunderstorms.
Fort Wayne, looking like your best chances for the storms will be early Saturday morning, as does Toledo and Detroit.
So really, it looks like we can see scattered rain showers possible anytime overnight Friday and into the day Saturday. Rain showers will start to move out of the region by Saturday evening. So I will be updating those extended forecasts later this evening, I just need to finish up the times.
For now, I can tell you this...the first part of the weekend is not looking dry.
I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them for you as always.
