A nice break/reason to vote on our poll...

(High pressure effecting the region for the next few days).

We'll talk about the voting at the end of this post...

Over the past couple weeks it has been nothing but tracking rain system, and then some above normal temps and finally this. But this time, it is nothing really to track. A high pressure system is going to dominate the weather here across the region over the next couple days. I do not see anything that will effect us otherwise over the next few days. So finally, a nice break for us here at GLWX.

The high pressure will cause temps to be about 10-15° below average across the region for today and tomorrow. For example,

Toledo: Normal high 50°, today mid to upper 30's. (10° below average).
Green Bay: Normal high 44°, today will be in the upper 20's (15° below average).
Erie: Normal high 48°, today will be in the lower 30's (15° below average).

So really a cool day for much of the region, however the skies will be mostly clear this weekend. We do have a weak disturbance over in Illinois and that will bring some of the clouds over our way today, most likely for places like Fort Wayne and Toledo. That is all we're going to see from this disturbance: the clouds. So for some it will be on and off clouds, and maybe a light overcast later this afternoon, but it will be light enough that you'll think it was sunny...make sense? Oh well.

Temps are going to gradually warm up next week, slowly but surely. We'll slowly start to see those temps return to average, and we might get to 50° on Thursday in Fort Wayne (which is about average for you guys). However, this will come with some rain showers, so I will have to keep you updated on that.

Otherwise, calm weather for this weekend, a little cool but looking good nonetheless. I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them for you as always.

Before I end this post, I want to type about something that is rather important for those of you who view this site daily (or at least weekly). We only have enough meteorologists here at GLWX to forecast for 7 cities. We can forecast for more, however when the weather gets tricky, 7 cities is about as much as we can handle.

We would like to add Cleveland to the forecast locations, mostly to fill the gap between Toledo and Erie. However, to add Cleveland we have to terminate forecasting for another city. It was decided that if we added Cleveland, then we'd stop forecasting for Toronto (we'd bring it back eventually once we get more forecasters). We plan to do this change on 4 April 2011, however we do not want to take out a city and add another one if people need the Toronto forecasts.

So I ask that you vote on the poll, located below the extended forecasts. The question is simple: Do you want to add Cleveland (if so, we stop forecasting for Toronto). If you have any questions or suggestions, please leave a comment or send an email to nbc24weatherman@yahoo.ca to let us know.
