Warmer weather

Well, today is going to be a slight step back in the warming trend that we are going to see this week across much of the region. Temps will be anywhere from 10-15° above average in most places, and some places will see 50° for a high on Thursday.

Today, a cold front will push through the region, followed by a second cold front which will push temps down into the lower 30's by this afternoon. It will be one of those days when the morning temp will be warmer than the afternoon temp. This second cold front could bring some scattered precip with it, however I am not including it in today's forecast because I believe that it will be a very slight chance of precip and it wont be widely scattered. But do not be surprised if you see a couple drops of something on your windshield this afternoon. Otherwise today will be cloudy.

The low pressure will move out of the northern part of the region later today, and we'll have a high pressure set up in the region tonight. This will allow for skies to clear and temps to drop back into the teens and lower 20's for much of the region. However, this high pressure will be responsible for our warmer weather in the next couple days.

Tomorrow, as that high pressure slowly moves out of the region, we'll see mostly clear skies across a good chunk of the central and eastern part of the region with temps varying anywhere from the mid to upper 30's.

Wednesday however this high pressure will slide southeast towards the Carolina's, and in doing so, we're going to see that high pressure push not only the jet stream more north, but it'll also usher in that warmer air. This wont be just a sunny day however, it'll be cloudy for much of us on Wednesday with temps in the mid to upper 40's depending on your location (Green Bay will probably see lower 40s).

Thursday, up ahead of a somewhat strong low pressure, warm air will be brought up from both the high and the low pressures. This will definetly bring us some highs in the 50's for Thursday, but it will also bring us the chance for some rain showers.

On Friday, this low pressure will push through the region and bring temps down to somewhat average temps (the 30's) and we'll see a chance of snow on Friday, but nothing will accumulate because the ground will be warm.

So, a high pressure gives us cool weather tonight, and then warm weather Wednesday and Thursday, along with a low pressure on Thursday which will assist in warmer weather. This low will then push through the north central part of the region on Thursday night and we'll see temps back to average by the weekend.

I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them.
