3 PM Update

(Winter Storm Darya on an enhanced IFR satellite).

I shouldn't have moved those scattered snow showers out of the afternoon. Darn. Oh well. Some scattered snow showers moving through the region right now, they are near Toledo and Fort Wayne. Surface charts indicate that there could be a mix of some sleet within those snow showers, but otherwise just some quick bursts of snow. I am nto expecting much accumulation from them at this time.

What were are watching is Darya moving up towards our way. I believe that those scattered snow showers are going to become very frequent around 5 p.m. or so, and then steady snow showers will move into the area later this evening.

Winds will continue to gust up near 25 mph the rest of this afternoon and into tonight across the region.

I am still keeping my snow fall forecasts the same:

Toledo: 8-12 inches
Fort Wayne: 9-16 inches
Erie: 11-19 inches.

So as I typed, scattered snow showers becoming frequent early this evening around 5 p.m. or so, and then steady snow showers moving into the region late this evening. I'll keep you up to date as always, looks like we'll be updating you at the top of the hour for the next couple hours here. But for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them.
