Well, at the beginning of the month we were typing about snow, and now we're typing about rain. A fair amount of rain has fallen across the region, 0.87 inches here at the GLWX home. These rain showers will be coming to an end in places like Detroit, Fort Wayne and Toledo by this morning, however we still could see some scattered rain showers and some mixing with snow this afternoon.
The cold fron has move quicker than expected, so that has made me alter everybody's forecast by about 6 hours. So if you read the daily forecasts you'll see what I mean.
Now if you do read the daily forecasts, you'll notice they are long. That is because a lot of going to be happening today across the region.
First off, for Fort Wayne, Toledo and Detroit, it will be windy. Highs will occur this morning (if they already haven't) and then all day we'll watch temps slowly drop down towards the lower 30's. There could be some mixing with snow showers towards the end of this swath of rain, but nothing will accumulate to be a whole lot. By the evening however, we'll watch skies clear out and tomorrow will be a clear day.
For Erie and Buffalo, you'll still see highs perhaps in the mid 40's if lucky, and those rain showers will last through most of the morning. They'll become scattered this afternoon, and you too could see some mixing with snow later this afternoon as temps slowly fall back to the mid 30's.
So really, a windy and rainy day for most of us across the region. I'll have the extended forecasts and more coming up a little later, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them.
