A little later I'll try to explain to you a little bit of the physics of what is going on weatherwise.
Well, this time a week ago we were getting ready for temps around -5° and -10° around the entire region. But today, we're getting ready for temps near 50° and 60° across the entire region. The high pressure that was so kind in giving us the clear skies yesterday, is now responsible for the warm weather today and partially tomorrow.
This high is located down in the Virginia area and it will help pull up the warm air from the south and give it to us. Highs today across the region will be in the 50's.
Tomorrow, this high pressure will start to slide away, but a strong low pressure will pass north of the area, which is really going to pull that warm air up our way. This low will not cross the Great Lakes region, it'll pass to the north and head towards to Hudson Bay, this is why we wont be getting a lot of precip from it.
Once this front passes on Saturday however, we'll see temps back down into the 30's and 40's for a high across a good chunk of the region.
Be sure to check your extended forecasts for more information regarding what you can expect weatherwise over the next couple days. I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them.
