So close, yet so far.

First the forecast tonight across the region, then the weather topic of tonight...

Now for the rest of the region. This evening, snow showers will be clearing out for the most part across the region, and we'll go into cloudy mode over the next 24 hours. Buffalo will have to wait until the morning to have theirs clear out. So, really just a flurry/light snow shower scenario across the entire region for tonight, but a lot of that is already ending. Toledo, Fort Wayne and Detroit, I think that you're pretty much done with all your precip, however you could get a stray flurry or wintry mix thing later tonight, but nothing that would accumulate.

Temps tonight across the region will be warmer, in the 20's for most places. I have Toledo down for mid 20's for a low tonight, as well as Fort Wayne. Tomorrow, it'll be another warm day with highs in the lower 30's across a good chunk of the region from Fort Wayne to Erie.

The Big-Talk system will be too close to rule out possible snow showers, however it'll be too far away to keep them in the forecast. That is the general thought I have about the weather in Erie, Pa and Buffalo, NY coming up here on Wednesday night/Thursday evening.

What we have here is a low pressure system coming up from the Gulf. It is safe to say that it wont be effecting any places in the region except the possibility of Erie and Buffalo. This system will really get some intensity to it and charge northeast along the east coast. But for here in the Great Lakes region, this really wont matter a whole lot to us.

Erie and Buffalo, right now I am looking at a chance for some scattered snow showers on Wednesday night and into Thursday, but I doubt you'll get any accumulating snow from it. However, once that low pressure heads up more northward, congratulations, you now have lake effect snow.

Light lake effect snow is likely for Erie and Buffalo on Thursday and possibly into Friday. It wont be heavy, but it'll be enough to cover the roads of course, and possibly give you an inch or two of snow fall.

There isn't a whole lot of weather action to type about this evening, aside from the semi-tricky forecast of Erie and Buffalo for 72 hours out. But, I'll keep you up to date as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates.
