Well tonight across much of the forecasted area it'll be chilly. Already seeing single digits across much of the region, and I expect these temperatures to drop even more as the evening goes on. Toledo, Fort Wayne look for lows around 0° and you might even drop a bit lower than that, so watch out. Winds will be light, but they'll be enough to get those windchills down into the -5° area by the morning. So it'll be chilly standing out there at the bus-stop tomorrow morning.
However, we could see some clouds roll in from our clipper system by early morning, so the timing on these clouds will be realively crucial. If they show up around 3 a.m., then we wont see 0°, we'll most likely get stuck around 5°. BUT if the clouds stay back until about 6 a.m. or 7 a.m., then we will see 0° and possibly lower. Right now the clouds seem to be back in Minnesota, so they look like they'll hang up north long enough for us to see our lows dip to 0°.
Tomorrow, I am watching as a weak low pressure clipper will move through the area, and that could give a good chunk of the region some scattered snow showers for tomorrow afternoon. Not looking at much in terms of accumulation, maybe an inch at most for Toledo, Fort Wayne and Detroit, but it will be noticable because it'll push those temps up. Thats right, we could see highs near 30° tomorrow for places like Fort Wayne and Toledo, so that'll be a bit warmer than what we're use to seeing.
By tomorrow evening, this clipper will still be effecting us, but we'll just be seeing light snow showers for the most part across the region and we'll see lows only in the lower 20's for much of the region. So it'll be about 20° warmer than what we've been use to these past couple days.
Now, I am watching a low pressure come out of the Gulf later this week, however that will only effect the eastern part of the region. By Tuesday evening we could see some scattered snow showers in Erie and Buffalo -- and possibly trying to make it into Toledo -- from this system, but there wont be much in terms of accumulation because this system will be too far off to the east.
Now, any slight shift in the track will really change the forecast, but for now, I am not expecting this low to shift a whole lot from my predicted course. It will be too far to produce snow in Fort Wayne that's for sure.
So, a little warmer weather in store for us here in the region these next couple days, but then temps will drop back down to the 20's for a high and lower teens for a low. I'll keep you up dated as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates!
