Oui, well it will be a snowy next 48 hours for many places in the southern Great Lakes region. Really this system will only be effecting the southern places of the region from Fort Wayne to Erie, but oh well, it'll still be interesting.
Winter weather advisories are up for a good chunk of the region, but they are mostly in Indiana, all of Ohio and a couple counties of Michigan and all the counties of Pennsylvania. For now, here is what I am expecting...
Fort Wayne: Snow will start falling in the morning hours, mostly starting around 9 a.m. and that'll last through the day and into the morning hours of Wednesday. About 2-4 inches of snow is likely.
Toledo: About the same as Fort Wayne. Look for those snow showers to be possible anytime in the mid morning hours (after about 7 a.m.) but a good chunk of the snow showers will start to arrive in the late morning, and they'll last through early Wednesday morning. Look for about 2-4 inches of snow, with some places possibly getting about 5 inches of snow.
Detroit: You wont be seeing snow as heavy, but you could be getting snow showers around 3 inches of accumulation by Wednesday morning.
So, an interesting next couple of days, remember for the above mentioned places, alot of the snow will be in the afternoon and evening hours, nothing too major just a couple inches of snow and probably some slippery roads in some places.
Otherwise, I'll keep you up to date as always, and I'll let you know if anything is expected to really change, but in all honesty, this system has made up its mind and we'll see the snow start falling within the next 12-16 hours. I'll keep you updated, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking for updates.
