Well before we begin with the forecast, we here at GLWX are proud to inform you that starting tomorrow, we'll be starting a new weather show called the "Weather Report". This will be local weather news provided by Amy Fan and myself. We'll also have some guest appearances. We plan to make this by both comical and serious when needed, and we hope that you watch it. It'll be daily and you can watch it right here on the site, by 6 p.m. tomorrow evening. But now lets talk about some weather.
As you can see right now, there are some clouds in the region and this is thanks to the low pressure down in the southern part of the country which has been producing snow in places like Huntsville and Atlanta. In fact, 6.5 inches of snow has fallen in Huntsville thanks to this system, and that has offically become the 6th snowiest day in Huntsville history. So in the weather world, we can see the effects of a low pressure no matter how far away. But what will be getting in terms of snow?
Well tomorrow, we'll see a low pressure move in from the west, and by tomorrow morning we could be seeing snow fall in places like Fort Wayne. This wont be a blizzard, but it will be enough to give us some measurable snow.
For Toledo, by the late morning/early afternoon, we could see the snow start to fall, and I predict about 1-3 inches of snow total from this system in Toledo and Fort Wayne.
If you're in Detroit, Jacob is predicting about 3 inches of total snow in Detroit by Wednesday morning.
This system will pass through southern Ohio and then curve into Pennsylvania, so it will effect a good chunk of the region, with the exception of Green Bay.
The central part of the region will see the bulk of their snow on Tuesday afternoon thruogh their evening, but by Wednesday afternoon the system should have cleared out of places like Toledo, Fort Wayne, and Detroit.
Erie, Pa will see the snow fall starting Tuesday afternoon, and that'll last into Thursday. About 2-5 inches of snow is likely in Erie, but you're use to that.
Otherwise, the end of the week looks to be clear for most places in the region with cooler temperatures. Now I am watching a possible next system that could give us all some snow over the weekend. This wont be a blizzard either, but it will be a fun system to track. However it is still about a week away, so its track amoung other things could change, but I will be keeping you posted on this system...because it'll be a fun one.
I'll keep you up to date on the system that will be effecting us tomorrow through Thursday, and I'll keep you up to date on other weather as well, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! We hope that you watch our show that'll be starting tomorrow and we also hope that you keep checking back for updates. Have a good day.
