On its way...

Well, there are quite a bit of Freezing Rain advisories posted for the areas of NE Indiana, NW Ohio and SE Michigan, however those will only be for this morning and I do not expect much more to come from it. There was some freezing rain earlier this morning, so that'll make the roads slippery in those untreated areas. Otherwise, a brief break from the weather today, mostly cloudy across much of the region, however places like Fort Wayne and Toledo might see a scattered snow showers or two in the late morning or early afternoon as an upper level distrubance passes through...I like to use big meteorological terms, it makes me sound offical.

Well the low pressure system that we've been typing about is just about ready to start moving out of the Plain's region. This low will really only effect the southern areas of the Great Lakes region on Thursday and it'll be a quick moving system. The low will head generally eastward around a high pressure and it'll pass through northern Kentucky, which means that the bulk of the snow will pass to our south but places like Detroit, Fort Wayne and Toledo could still get about an inch or two of snow fall -- so enough to replace the snow that was melted yesterday.

There isn't much to type about this system because I've pretty much typed all there is to type about it. But the above mentioned cities will probably see their snow fall begin sometime tomorrow afternoon and it'll last through the evening and possibly very early Friday morning. However, behind the system will be gusty winds which will make for some blowing snow.

Temperatures on Friday will also be very cool, highs in the above mentioned will only be about 15° at the most. So obviously there will be some very low windchills, possibly in the negatives for much of the day. Friday night into Saturday morning we could see lows around 5° for a good chunk of the above mentioned.

So cooler weather is on the way, and then wind will accompany it so it'll be a system where the most interesting part will come right after it passes through. I'll keep you all updated on this system and other weather across the region as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates.
