A close system

Well, a low pressure system is going to form out of the Plain's and move eastward towards the Kentucky area by Thursday. This system will be a snow event for the places in the southern Great Lakes region, but it wont be anything that we're not use to.

Tomorrow, for much of the region it'll be mostly cloudy with temperatures somewhere in the 20's depending on where you are. But by Thursday, we'll see this low pressure move south of the region, and that could in turn give places like Toledo, Fort Wayne and maybe even Detroit about 1-2 inches of new snow fall. This wont be anything to extreme, so dont break out the snow blowers.

This low pressure will swing around a high pressure (which will be located in Minnesota) so the location of the high pressure will be important for the exact track of this low pressure. But for now, I am expecting the low to pass by in Kentucky, so that will not be anything too major for us.

The system will be quick however, and once it passes, we'll see cooler temperatures in store for the entire region for Friday and Saturday.

Thursday and Friday nights will be the coolest that we'll see, and Fort Wayne and Toledo could see lows around 0°-5° whereas Green Bay might see lows around -5°. The high pressure in Minnesota will be sliding down into the region on Friday and Saturday, so that will nice.

So the only places really getting effected by this system, will, as I've been mentioning, the southern areas of the Great Lakes, and only about 1-2 inches will be likely on Thursday. Check the extended forecasts tomorrow morning for expected times of snow fall for this system.

As always, I'll be keeping you updated on this system and others as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates.
