Going more north..

Well, in the past 24 hours, the low pressure system that we've been typing about these past couple of days has not only decided to go abit more north than originally expected, but it has also decided that it doesn't want to be as strong either.

Because of both factors, that will really effect the temperatures behind this system. The high pressure wont be as strong because the low will not, but because of the track shift as well, the high pressure wont be over the region, it'll pass more so up to the northern part of the region. That means that Green Bay wont be seeing -10° for a low, it'll probably see about 0°, and Toledo wont see -5°, they'll most likely see only 5°.

But over the next 36 hours, we're going to have some odd weather here in the region. The system will still effect us nonetheless and places will be seeing highs in the mid to upper 30's between today and tomorrow. This means that we'll see some rain, which will make those roads slippery once the front passes through. This really isn't anything to be overly concerned about in all honesty because it wont do much other than give some snow, and then give some rain and then give a little more snow.

For example, the cities that will be effected by this system tomorrow will be everyone from Fort Wayne to Buffalo. Lows tonight will only be in the lower 20's, and we'll see some snow showers in all those places overnight tonight. However, once the morning comes around and those temperaturs slowly rise up to the mid 30's, those snow showers will turn into a brief wintry mix (sleet, freezing rain and whatever else comes with a wintry mix) and then we'll go into all rain. So any ice that does form will pretty much get melted by about noon. Awww...

But then, once the evening comes around the sun begins to set, depending on where you're and where the front will be, we'll start to see those rain showers mix into some snow showers. Toledo and Fort Wayne wont really get much snow accumulation because the ground will be warm and the snow probably wont be much because much of the precip will have cleared out of the region. But Erie and Buffalo could actually get some accumulating snow once the transition happens.

Wednesday looks to be a clear day from Green Bay to Detroit, however Erie and Buffalo will see a good chance of snow showers for the rest of the work week. Otherwise, cooler temperatures take control of the region, and by Thursday and Friday nights we could see lows down around 5° for Toledo and Fort Wayne.

Naturally and as usual, I'll keep you updated on this system and more as it develops and moves through the region, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates.
