Cooler weather...

Well for the people to the west of Fort Wayne, you're already having the front pass through you right now. In fact, right now temperatures are starting to return back to normal for much of the western Great Lakes. I know for a fact that Green Bay already had the front pass through them last night. So, for the people ahead of the front today, a lot of rain showers are likely, and they'll become heavier and more frequent the closer the front gets to you. But what will happen once the front passes? Simple actually: we'll see clearer skies and temperatures back down to normal.

Will there be any snow behind this front? Not a whole lot if any. If some rain showers happen to get caught behind the front, they could turn into snow showers, but nothing will really accumulate because the ground will be too warm.

Places like Detroit, Fort Wayne and Toledo will see their high temperatures around the noontime hours, however once that front passes, temperatures will quickly begin to fall towards the mid to upper 30's.

If you're in Erie and/or Buffalo (you never know, you could be two places at once) then the front will pass through late this afternoon or early this evening. So you will see those highs in the 50's for much of the day, however you wont really notice your temperatures change until you wake up in the morning and you realize that its 25 outside.

Overnight lows tonight across much of the Great Lakes region will be anywhere from the upper teens to the lower 20's, with the exception of Green Bay who'll see lows in the single digits.

So looking at the long term here for much of the Great Lakes region, clearer skies haunting us for tomorrow and Monday. However, on Tuesday could be a very weak system push through Michigan, and that might give us some snow chances in places like Detroit and Toledo and maybe Cleveland on Tuesday morning, and possibly Erie and Buffalo on Tuesday afternoon. This wont be a whole lot of snow, most likely a dusting of snow for most places.

Thursday and into Friday, we might also see another low pressure form out of the northern Plain's and that might also bring us some snow and some cooler temperatures, however that is still a little too far away to make a solid call on that, so we'll have to keep you up to date on that, but for now, it looks like a typical Alberta clipper...meaning light snow and cooler temps.

I'll keep you up to date as always on the weather, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates.
