Well, unless you're in the cities of Cleveland, Erie and Buffalo, today wont be a bad day. Mostly clear across much of the Great Lakes, but Irina still isn't finished with us. Because of her circulation and location, she'll be pushing that cold air in still. Right now we're at single digits from Fort Wayne to Cleveland, and here at the GLWX HQ it is 6.9°F. Expect lows tonight to be about the same. Now in the long term, I do not see really anything impacting the Great Lakes region, maybe some snow showers on the weekend again, but we'll keep you up to date on that. However a clear next couple days, with cooler temperatures.
Buffalo: you are getting WALLOPED with heavy lake effect snow. Lake Effect Snow Advisories are out for your regions, as we are likely to see 6-9 inches of snow just tomorrow and tomorrow night alone, and the snow totals won't stop there. You know how it works, we will see heavy banding, and if you get under a band for an extended amount of time then you may see a foot plus. However, the snow tomorrow will be very widespread in nature, with heavier bands setting up as well. Make sure to be careful when driving in the snow, and that snow is likely to continue on into Wednesday as well.
Stay tuned as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather!
