And the snow snowed on

Well we're going to see widespread scattered snow showers tonight from Fort Wayne all the way up to Buffalo. Most places will likely see nothing more than inch, however if you're in Erie and Buffalo, again, you could see higher amounts.

Right now in Erie, the snow seems to be missing you, however I am still keeping my numbers the same, snow accumulations tonight will be 3-6 inches (up to 9 inches in some of the heavier bands) and then tomorrow another 3-6 inches is possible (with the possibility of 9 inches in some locations). So, a total snow accumulation by tomorrow could be anywhere form 6-18 inches (again a large gap, but as you might already know, some places could recieve locally heavier snow bands which could drop anywhere from 1-3 inches of snow in just an hour).

The same thing for Buffalo, especially the southern suburbs of the town, you all will be seeing some snow accumulation, but nothing like the Erie area will be getting. I am not the forecaster for Buffalo, but if I had to make a prediction I'd say about 2-5 inches of new snow accumulation by tomorrow night.

Other places across the region, like Toledo and Fort Wayne. You'll be expeirencing the Lake Effect snow off of Lake Michigan and some of those bands may be heavy enough to actually make it to Fort Wayne (which is why the NWS has you guys under a Lake Effect Snow Advisory). Tonight, Fort Wayne could get about 1-2 inches of snow, which isn't alot, but enough to look nice.

Toledo you wont be so lucky, you'll see maybe an inch of snow at the most in the NW Ohio, and those snow showers will really be scattered through tomorrow, as again, the lake effect snow off Lake Michigan will actually try to make it over this way.

So a chilly night tonight, winds will be blowing from the W-NW-NNW depending on your exact location, so that'll make those low temperatures feel even coolder. Lows tonight across much of the southern Great Lakes will be in the lower 20's, places like Green Bay will see the possibility of lows in the upper teens.

Remember now, the high pressure will start to set up here in the Great Lakes region tomorrow, so temperatures are going to get a lot cooler. We could see highs tomorrow not even making it past 30° for a lot of places in the region. I know Toledo, you're high tomorrow will only be near 30, and Fort Wayne your highs will be in the upper 20's. The lows however will be a lot different, where tomorrow night and Tuesday night we could see lows down near 15° in Toledo and Fort Wayne.

I'll have more coming up for you in the morning, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather!
