Anastasia? And a fun weekend?

Well folks, the low pressure in S. Dakota is presently at 1003 mbs and could deepen a bit more. However, like I said, it is still iffy on whether or not it will meet my qualifications (995 mbs/ Great Lakes) to be named Anastasia. If this does happen, it'll be first time I have had two named lows in the same week.

Whether or not it be named, this low will give us some fun weather for the weekend. First off, Saturday is looking rain free, so you Holiday Parade folks, you should have no problem. But come Sunday night into the beginning of the week, we could see more rain showers across much of the southern Great Lakes region. And if all goes according to plan, we could see some scattered snow showers on Wednesday, however that is one day to far out for me to determine yet.

Lets take a look at my NW Ohio forecast:

Today: Mostly clear with highs near 50°.
Tonight: Not as cool, lows near 30°.
Tomorrow: Some clouds rolling in, highs around 55°.
Tomorrow Night: Lows down around 35°.
Sunday: Highs around 55°.
Sunday Night: Rain showers begin to move in, lows down around 40°.

Long term: highs in the mid 50's for much of the week, with scattered rain showers for much of the week, and those rain showers could briefly turn into snow showers by the middle of the week.

Poll results: The question was "What is the record low for Toledo, OH?" And 7 people voted.
The majority (3 people) said -20°, however the actual answer was -20° and was set back on January 21, 1984. Now, back in the winter or 2008-2009, Toledo hit -16° which came close to breaking the record. The state record low is -39° which was set back in 1899.

The next poll survey is "2000-2001 was Erie, Pennsylvania's snowiest season. How much snow fell?" So take a minute and think and please vote. Remember, Erie sits in an area prime to lake effect snow, and it is only 20 minutes away from the snowiest place in Pennsylvania, which is Corry.

I'll keep you up to date as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson, and that's the weather!
