Some storms towards the end of the weekend

So no major changes to the forecast right now (hence why there was no evening update). In a matter of a few sentences I can sum up the weather for the next couple days, so lets go ahead and do that:

A high pressure is still going to dominate the regional weather today but we're going to be on the western edge of it today and tomorrow, which means that it'll usher in some warm air into the region. Looking at highs today and tomorrow to be in the 90's in the western half of the region, and it'll get close to that in the eastern half of the region as well. The high pressure will start to slowly slide to the east a little towards the end of the weekend and we'll turn our attention back to a low pressure system coming out of the Plains.

This low pressure system is part of a mess up in the upper Plains and lower Canada areas. The low pressure will drag a warm front across the region on Saturday, allowing for a possiblity for a stray storm to develop in the region. The chances won't be high however as there won't be a whole lot of lift.

On Sunday, we're going to watch the low pressure push the cold front near to the region. This cold front will allow for yet another stray storm to possibly develop in the region during the late afternoon and early evening on Sunday. However the cold front will push into the region starting on early Monday morning, which means that widely scattered storms will start to develop in the western half of the region early Monday morning, and then during the afternoon on Monday for the eastern half of the region.

As of now, I am not expecting that the storms will be strong or severe, but I'll keep an eye on that this afternoon to see what the latest charts will hint at.

The storms will push through the region (probably in a semi-line or organized cluster fashion) and then by Monday night they'll exit the region and taper off. A high pressure builds in the region for the day Tuesday and that'll keep us calm and cool once again.

I'll keep you updated as always, and I'll have a forecast revision if need be as well as an update later this afternoon. So make sure that you keep checking back for updates because I'll have them for you. But for now, that's the weather!
