Here we go again?

Forecast over the next couple of days is going to be somewhat easy (and I use that term with caution). Right now we're watching a low pressure exit the area, allowing for a weak high pressure set up in the region (mainly over the western half) and then we're going to watch another low pressure move into the region tomorrow morning.

Right now, the low pressure exiting is the one that I was typing about yesterday morning. It is basically out of the western half of the region this morning, taking the clouds with it (but not quick enough as a meteor shower happened last night and the clouds ruined it for most). The eastern half of the region isn't seeing those clouds pulling out however, the low is still too close and that is also allowing for some lingering rain showers. Those rain showers will taper off by the afternoon in places like Cleveland and Erie, and there will be some decreasing clouds later this afternoon and early this evening in those areas, but the clouds will be quick to return.

Tonight, we're going to watch another low pressure approach from the Plains, and in doing some it'll start to bring the clouds back. The places that'll notice it tonight will be points to the west of Cleveland. As the low pressure moves towards the region, well, rain showers will be introduced up ahead of it. Fort Wayne will start seeing those rain showers developing as early as tomorrow morning (mainly after sunrise) as the fronts near and the low starts to take a NE path towards the central part of Michigan. Toledo, you'll see clouds until the afternoon and then rain showers and thunderstorms will begin to develop. The pattern will continue for the rest of the region as the low starts to effect all of you.

I am not really expecting a storm event with this system, the main feature will be clouds and rain showers (much like what we saw the other day) but a few embedded storms will undoubtly work their way into the mix. The big storms however will stay well to the south of the area down in Kentucky and Tennessee, so nothing to be overly worked up about. As far as rain fall totals are concerned: eh, I am not expecting anything too big from this system, so not much of a flooding concern.

The low pressure will exit out of the region by Tuesday afternoon for the west, and Wednesday afternoon at the latest for the eastern half of the region. This will allow for a high pressure to move into the region, keeping us calm and cool once again in the region. But another disturbance could move in just in time for the weekend. I'll type more about that later. But for now, that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them for you as always.
